Maritime in the Noordoostpolder

The Noordoostpolder is known for its straight boat-canals. But they are surely not boring. The nature-friendly shores create an attracting sailing climate. You can enter the Noordoostpolder coming from Overijssel through the floodgate by the Voorst. Very exiting is the 5 meter differential head that is intercepted between old and new land. This is also very beautiful to see.

From the floodgate you can sail directly into the voorsterbos where you can findthe attracting marina of Kraggenburg wich is an excellent operating base. Passing through to go to Urk, it’s worth while to visit Emmeloord. In the center of Emmeloord you can lay the boat at the Zuiderkade. At the Ketelmeer you will find the well-attended and therefore busy Marina Schokkerhaven. This marina has all facilities available. There is also a restaurant and a sandy beach.
