Nature in the Noordoostpolder

There is plenty nature in the Noordoostpolder. The ground that wasn’t good enough for agriculture was planted with tree’s, which created beautiful woodlands. The “Kuiderbos” is the largest joined woodland in the Noordoostpolder. The old pier is situated here as well. The nature trail in this woodland tells you everything about butterflies and birds of prey. From inside the observation cabin, you can spy on the water birds.

Special are also the sheep’s that walks alongside the Kadoelerbos. You can walk right among them. The Noordoostpolder is still always developing new things when it comes to nature. For example the mushroom fields and the butterflyfarms. You will also find new planted woods joint to the Voorsterbos.
